Gigabit is supported unlike on the E2500 (the newer version of the E2000). The WiFi signal is weak; that's my main beef with this router. I also have a E3000 (cascading the E2000) and most computers will try to connect to the E3000 even when they're right next to the E2000.

VPN is passthrough on this E2000 router.. If you want to make the router in a VPN client , then make sure you should be getting a public ipaddress from the internet service provider and you can open the ports for the VPN , you can open TCP Port number 1723 on the router.
